Paulus Ripa 

Dr Paulus Ripa is a Pediatrician with over 35 years of clinical practice and until recently, Director of Clinical Services at the Western Highlands Provincial Health Authority, Mount Hagen in Papua New Guinea. Dr Ripa led the establishment of the Elimination of Cervical Cancer programme in Western Highlands Province which involved the establishment of the successful integrated HPV POC test and treatment for cervical screening, plus the recent introduction of the HPV vaccine programme in collaboration with the Kirby Institute UNSW/PNGIMR and the C4 consortium in Australia with funding from Minderoo Foundation/Cepheid Corp and other industry donors. 

Dr Ripa is Senior Advisor on the ACTUP program that addresses HIV and the Triple Elimination of HIV, Syphilis and Hepatitis B through POC testing in PNG, a joint collaboration between the Western Highlands Provincial Health Authority, the PNG National Department of Health, Port Moresby General Hospital, the PNG Institute of Medical Research and the Kirby Institute, UNSW Sydney. Dr Ripa has over 30 years of experience in leading medical and health education programs, including as Coordinator of University of Papua New Guinea Clinical School Goroka and Director of Medical Education University (2005 – 2014).
